Had fibre broadband to my apartment. 4 minutes to download any films (or "movies' as those who think they are edgy and hip like to call them).
What part of Muscat did you stay in to get the impression that it was a shit hole, or are you saying that just because it's the capital of a Muslim country?

My advice would be to steal them, not purchase them.

I doubt you can get high speed internet in that shit hole Muscat. Does it take a day to download a move?

Why not p2p them from a torrent site and save them locally?
Memory is as cheap as chips - I recently bough a 440G (let that sink in - it's almost half a TeraByte) Micro-SD card for about 40 quid - it's currently living in my tablet, looking for work.
That's between 50 & 100 HD films. Time that's full, your next one will be 20% larger/cheaper/both.

What sort of films? Mainstream box office stuff or more niche (assuming non pornographic) things? There's probably places specialising in all sorts of genres, like martial arts or foreign/arthouse stuff etc.
